Among mobile users, most surprisingly, 56% of people own a smartphone and 50% of mobile phone users use cell phones. as the main Internet source. In other words, more than a quarter of Internet users worldwide currently rely on mobile devices to collect their information, primarily through the use of smartphones. Due to information convenience and portability, smartphone ownership increased from 35% in 2011 to 56% in 2013 among all mobile device users. Meanwhile, it is also very easy to see many people using their smartphones for entertainment purposes such as gaming and social networking rather than for gathering information as shown in statistics (Super Monitoring, 2013). As a result, it is very evident to find some critical disadvantages in the excessive use of mobile devices for entertainment, especially among young children and student users. Therefore, this essay will focus on explaining the significant disadvantages of using smartphones or mobile devices regarding possible health, social, and financial problems.
