“Digital piracy is the act of copying digital goods that include software, documents, audio "including music and voice" and video, for any reason other than performing backup without explicit permission and compensation to the copyright holder using computer technology” (Gunter, Higgins, & Gealt, 2011). Music piracy is the most common, but almost any type of digital file can be downloaded illegally from the Internet when a child knows which sites to browse. With multiple sites to choose from, a teen can easily go to the World Wide Web and find exactly what song or album they would like to download. If one site doesn't offer exactly what the user is looking for, many other sites will meet their needs. This easy accessibility overrides the adolescent's moral compass and gives them instant gratification that they were totally lacking in
