Topic > Vietnam: The New Path to Success - 515

This report was commissioned to develop a business expansion plan in Vietnam for Australian Agriculture Company Limited (AACo), the largest integrated cattle and beef producer in Australia. The document also provides an analysis and assessment of current and future opportunities as well as challenges in Vietnam regarding AACo business. Recent years have seen Vietnam grow in its importance in Australian foreign trade as its economy developed. Furthermore, Vietnam has also witnessed the emergence of affluent middle-class citizens with increasing disposable income and more open to Western cuisine. This, combined with the rapid development of the country's modern trading concepts, has led to a significant increase in demand for high-quality beef. Given the limited domestic supply and unstable foreign sources of Vietnam's beef industry, AACo has more opportunities to establish its business in the country. It is recommended that AACo take its first step in Vietnam through cattle and beef export activities. This entry mode could be effectively facilitated through good brand awareness building, close relationships with appropriate distributors and a rational pricing and promotion strategy. Global food demand is expected to increase significantly in the near future, driven largely by increases in well-being and living standards in developing countries. This has led to a shift towards high-protein diets and demand for red meat in the emerging economies of Southeast Asia. In response, Australia has become the world's third largest exporter of beef with various producers across the country.
