The diameter of the Sun is approximately 1,391,000 km, or 109 times that of the Earth, and the mass is 33 times that of the Earth. However, the average density is only a quarter of that of Earth, 1.41 g/cm3. This is because the Sun is made of gas unlike the Earth, which is solid.
