After the accident my parents didn't try to have another child, so I remained "the only child". Afterwards they were very proud of me, paying more attention to me and showering me with the nicest gifts. I hate to say it, but I really took advantage of it to get all the latest gadgets and coolest clothes. In middle school I was like any other kid, still trying to figure myself out. I was very short and stocky during my middle school years. Sometimes I look back and think about what was going on in my life and what I was thinking. However, during my high school years everything changed when I started to lose weight and grow. I am currently 6'3 and weigh about 180 pounds. Looking back at my appearance in middle school, I never thought I would have such a positive transformation. I can't deny that my parents' shower didn't help this drastic transformation. Now I dress and behave much better than before. I love dressing up, and by that I mean dressing like I have a purpose, even if it's a quick trip to the store for a candy bar. Hats are my favorite things
