Topic > Autobiography of Malcolm Truth be told, before the Lord gives us this task, I don't even know who Malcolm X is. In fact, I've never heard his name once, which is unfortunate on my part. Malcolm X took the name El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz after making his pilgrimage to Mecca. Malcolm Interestingly, the story of Malcolm ruled it an accident. However, the Littles were certain that members of the Black Legion (the whites) were responsible for Earl's death. When Earl was killed, their mother, Louise, suffered an emotional breakdown several years after her husband's death. Then, she was committed to a mental institution when Malcolm On top of that, more and more African Americans are becoming Muslim, adopting Muslim names, and even exploring African culture. I love his simple and clear message in which he states: “I am not a racist in any form. I don't believe in any form of racism. I do not believe in any form of discrimination or segregation. I believe in Islam." This represents his real feelings and orientation in his struggle for brilliant black awareness and integration. Last but not least, El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz is a source of pride for African Americans, Muslims and Americans in general. I learned so much from his autobiography. It had such a profound impact on me. I'm impressed with how he went about his life, becoming a good activist despite having had a bad history in his previous life..
