It's a way to force people to have an education to live comfortably. The education provided in schools is so systematic that there is little to no learning because all that is needed to succeed in school is to memorize and remember information. The more easily and quickly people do it, the better their grades and IQ will be. It is inaccurate to measure people's intelligence based only on one particular process, especially when there are multiple different ways of being intelligent. “I think there is certainly a critical mass of consciousness – a critical mass of people who through their direct experience with so-called education reform have come to understand that this is a wolf in sheep's clothing,” (Alternet, para. 20 ). For this reason, the choice to be a lifelong learner would be entirely based on how someone wants to look at education after finding out what it is, in reality, after being educated and going through the non-manipulative process of education . It is what they have to base their opinion on and whether they consider themselves students or not. For many, it is simply difficult to choose to be a lifelong learner because it seems like everything has already been learned and is simply in the process of being learned.
