Topic > Essay on how to become a teacher - 732

A teacher, also known as an educator, instructor, professor, or tutor, is meant to instruct. Their main job is to educate children and adults so that they can later pursue a career of their own or expand their knowledge about their chosen career. Without teachers, many people would not have a job, much less have basic knowledge. State governments employ the majority of public school teachers in the United States. Whether they teach in elementary school, middle school, high school, or college/university, their primary goal is to help students have a better understanding of a specific subject. In this essay, the topics we focus on are what are the duties of a teacher, the training required to become a teacher, job growth/prospects, plan to become an elementary school teacher, as well as strengths and obstacles. In an elementary school, teachers need to know multiple subjects such as English, mathematics, science, study skills and social skills. Educators are there to help, evaluate and grade students based on their performance. They also work with colleagues to gather more information about possible teaching strategies and any problems they may have with a particular activity or subject. Teachers can guide students and provide examples of how to be successful in carrying out activities or completing homework. In elementary school, teachers need to have good social skills when talking to parents or guardians. They must also be sensitive to the educational needs of children. For example, most children, when placed in a classroom with their peers, adapt. They try to understand how things work on their own, however, if a student doesn't understand a particular problem the teacher has to try to explain it... halfway through the paper... they are helping to pass on their knowledge that they had learned in that particular matter. They also receive comprehensive medical and dental care and a retirement plan. Some disadvantages of teaching, however, are that it can sometimes be tiring and difficult. Teachers are also under enormous stress from parents, administrations and themselves. However, every teacher has their good and bad days. In conclusion, teachers help shape what we choose to have as a career. It takes a lot of work and patience, but the end result is worth it. There are a significant amount of obstacles that they must overcome, such as finishing school, earning a bachelor's or master's degree (depending on the state), and moving on to obtain a teaching certification. Without teachers there would be no education so no one would have any kind of job.
