Technology is something that should be implemented in all schools, to support student achievement. However, when implementing technology in the classroom, you need to develop an evaluation plan. Evaluation plans are written documentation that shows how to monitor and evaluate the program. It also displays evaluation results for program improvement to aid in decision making. For the implementation of technology in all schools, objective-based studies would be the evaluation plan that best suits this topic. While using objective-based studies, there are several objectives that need to be addressed; implement technology into the daily curriculum to help the student exemplify signs of growth, use technology to learn independently using relevance, and use technology to learn and retain information. When implementing technology into the daily curriculum it is important to ensure that students have measurable goals. For example, when a student accesses Achieve 3000 online, which is a program designed to help improve each student's vocabulary levels, students are able to track their daily progress. Therefore students are able to receive feedback to determine how effectively information is delivered. On the evaluation page, all the student's daily progress is recorded and the student can see if he or she is improving. In this way the student shows growth and learns to use technology correctly. The student will use technology to learn independently based on relevance. Using this lens students will learn how to navigate the web and research their assigned topic. With this I am able to implement (KWL) what the student knows, what the student wants to know and what... middle of paper... elements implemented. In urban schools that have access to technology on a daily basis, they excel on state exams. For example, An Achievable Dream is a school designed to give our students who are at risk of failing in school due to socioeconomic factors, a chance to succeed. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade are offered a quality education in a nurturing environment, technology support, and the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with caring adults. This school has a 100% minority student body, and 83% of these students are economically disadvantaged. In the subject proficiency test these students excel. Students' exit exams receive grades across multiple state-established proficiency levels. The figures displayed below show how the school as a whole has performed in different subjects.
