The beauty behind the workings of life forms fascinated me. My passion for science catalyzed the inspiration my father had given me and fueled my desire to become a doctor. While in medical school, I developed an interest in internal medicine for many reasons. I loved how an Internist addresses a wide range of medical problems, from simple to complex. The perplexing diagnostic challenges that patients can present always stimulate my mind. I also appreciated the clinical impact of the ongoing relationships with patients that internists form. After graduation, I continued clinical experience in the United States while preparing for the USMLE exams. The wide variety of clinical cases helped build my confidence and patience; I learned a lot, which helped me develop my clinical decision-making skills.
