Aldrich Ames was a counterintelligence officer for the Central Intelligence Agency in the United States until he was arrested for spying on the United States for Russia. He betrayed the United States by giving classified information to the Russians so they could use it against us. He is a very deceitful man, one of the people he gave information about to the Russians was considered one of his good friends. Betrayal is a horrible thing, but it actually happens every day all over the world. Many people cheat on the people they love; others betray the country to which they should be loyal. This is similar to when Brutus betrayed Caesar because he was supposed to be loyal to Caesar and love him, but Brutus was conspiring against Caesar behind his back.
