Lebron James grew up wanting to be a football player while in college and dreamed of becoming an NFL star. This dream slowly faded when later in college he found a new interest and love for basketball. He practiced every day without fail. Wherever he had the chance, he would be outside shooting hoops and practicing. It was at that moment that a new dream was born. That dream was to become the best basketball player and that dream came true. To this day, Lebron James is one of the biggest stars in NBA history. Lebron was fortunate to have many people in his life who supported him and encouraged him to live his dream. All this support increased his chances of becoming something great. Martin Luther King Jr. also had a dream that began in his early years. His dream was very different from Lebron's. It wasn't about himself and what he could achieve. but for all black people living in America. In a time of segregation, Martin's dream was that one day blacks and whites would be equal. This dream started when he was a child and played with his white best friend. When they were told they could no longer play together because of their racial differences, the experience shocked Martin so much that it changed his life forever. When Martin's mother explained the rules of segregation to him, she encouraged him and told him that he had to maintain a sense of someone. she told him that he must always remember that he is special. It was this experience that inspired Martin to dedicate his life's work to helping black people achieve the freedom of equality. Martin led a large number of marches, boycotts and sit-ins to help black people protest inequalities in education, housing and the general treatment of black...at the heart of the paper...hard work and Lebron James' dedication to date has won two NBA championships, four NBA Most Valuable Player Awards, two NBA Finals MVP Awards and two Olympic gold medals. He also won an NBA scoring title and the NBA Rookie of the Year Award. He has also been selected to ten NBA All-Star teams, nine All-NBA teams, and five All-Defensive teams, and is the Cleveland Cavaliers' all-time leading scorer. Thanks to Martin's hard work and dedication to his cause, Martin has also received numerous awards. In 1957 Martin received a medal from the NAACP. In 1958 he was awarded Time magazine's "Man of the Year" award. In 1964 he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Martin donated all of his prize money to the civil rights movement. He also received the Judaism World Peace Award in 1967. Finally in 1967 he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom..
