Topic > I have always wanted to become an electrical engineer

Since my middle school days in China, I have dreamed of becoming an electrical engineer. My father nurtured my many ideas such as the transformer and inductor. Even though I didn't have many ideas about electrical engineering, I found a lot of happiness through work activities that included hands-on, hands-on problems. Over the past three years, I have learned many concepts, including semiconductors, electromagnetism, and signals, at the University of Illinois. I explored ECE extensively and ultimately found power electronics as my concentration to further my education in graduate school. I believe that power electronics is the key technology for the advanced application of energy, especially renewable energy. To become a qualified energy engineer, I make a decision, obtaining a master's degree. In 2011, I decided to major in electrical engineering after seeing my aptitude and interest in physics, mathematics, and the introductory electrical and computer engineering course. Even though my struggles with the computer engineering course proved ineffective in my second year, I was glad I didn't give up and my...
