In the book The 100: A Ranking of Most Influential People in History, Michael Hart ranked the Wright brothers as the 28 most influential people of all time. This ranking is very accurate because Orville and Wilbur Wright radically changed the world in so many different ways. First of all, the development of the airplane by Orville and Wilbur Wright influenced the way the world travels around the globe. Subsequently, modern airplanes and fighter jets have greatly changed the way wars are fought. Additionally, today's society has been affected by the massive aviation and air transportation industry that adds billions of dollars to the world economy every year.
