Everything was burned, dead. The girl woke up after blinking several times and stood up. Her brown hair, wavy and tangled, fell to her shoulders, and her crystalline eyes were as blue and iridescent as the ocean. He walked through the dirt and dead leaves that lay on the ground. After crossing the desert, he came across an abandoned house. It felt lonely and empty, as if it had been decades since footsteps echoed in the hallways. The only light that could get in was through a broken window. The girl went up the steps, the door creaked open. The house itself was small, one story. As she walked, a cobweb brushed her face and she screamed. When he entered he found himself in a large living room. There was a large red carpet spread across the wooden floor and tan leather sofas. A large glass chandelier and old photographs covered the walls. The girl approached a specific photograph in an engraved gold frame. He was sitting on a table between the two sofas. The photo depicted a family, most likely the one who previously lived in the abandoned house. There was a little girl, about 5 years old, with short blonde hair. He was with his mother and father. The girl looked at the photograph. What happened to them? The girl continues to explore. As he walked, the floorboards creaked. The house had two other rooms. One was the parents' bedroom, it had a large bed and a huge walk-in closet. The other was a child's room. He had a cot against the wall. Next to the bed was a nightstand, covered in a layer of dust. On the floor in front of the nightstand was a scratched porcelain doll. There was a window with pink curtains open. On the left side of the room was a small desk with a large etched mirror. The girl left the house. Then he noticed something, a large stone hidden under the vines. He pushed away the branches and leaves. It
