Explain the reasons for knowing the audience to which the communication is presented. Knowing the audience makes it easier to modify your communication, to make it acceptable to that particular audience, as well as follow data protection guidelines. For example, if you were talking to a businessman who has worked in a company for most of his life, he will be well-rounded when it comes to talking about business. However maybe there is a new employee who doesn't know the ins and outs of the business world yet, you should avoid using jargon to avoid them getting confused and creating misunderstandings. Describe different methods of communicationThere are many different methods of communication. Some examples would be: Video conferencing: Many people use it when they are in different places and need to hold a meeting. This would be a formal meeting, since it is still an official meeting. Email: Sending email provides instant messaging from your computer, wherever you are. This would be considered written communication. Presentations – A presentation can consist of copies of reports and audiovisual material which form a reflection in the center of the paper on what was said allowing both parties to review and understand how to take the next steps forward.4 Understand the purpose of the feedback in the development of communication skills. Describe ways to get feedback on communications. Feedback is a positive way to decide whether your communication is effective and potentially useful. To get feedback, you could ask a colleague to monitor your discussions and ask him what you need to improve and what your qualities are. You can also record your discussions and get more feedback by sharing your video with staff. Explain the purpose of using feedback to develop communication skills Feedback is important in any job, it develops skills and helps people improve their work and the quality of an organisation.
