Students will maximize their learning time by staying focused on tasks and following directions, and will remain seated unless asked to do otherwise. There will always be work available for the student to complete. Free time opportunities are non-existent. Being patient, which is also the fourth rule, is related to this one. When active participation occurs, students will respectively and calmly wait for their turn. There will be no class-wide yelling or disrespect for a classmate's answer choice. Everyone should actively listen to each other and learn. The last and most important rule is to be polite. My favorite example is reciting the Golden Rule to them. The golden rule is “Treat others as you would like to be treated”. Within the classroom, each student is responsible for respecting himself, his classmates and the teacher. All body parts, such as hands and feet, should be kept to yourself. Respect goes as far as respecting school property. This means that students must not damage or vandalize school-provided items
