Managers and senior management would also be able to make important decisions without having to consult with lower levels, ensuring that management has complete control over the day-to-day functioning of an organization. On the other hand, a flexible arrangement would be more desirable from the employee's perspective as it would allow employees to show their creativity without having more freedom in their daily work activities. By working in a flexible environment, such as a flat structure, employees reported feeling satisfied with their work as it allowed them to achieve self-actualization. Without strict rules and regulations to follow, employees have the ability to try new strategies and ideas, causing an increase in innovation within a company.
